Competition Rules~
CLUB COMPETITIONS
The following formula will be used for all club competitions
4 riders complete the minimum amount of rides or enter a one off event prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd
3 riders complete the minimum amount of rides or enter a one off event prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd
2 riders complete the minimum amount of rides or enter a one off event a prize will be awarded for 1st only
If only 1 rider completes the minimum amount of rides or enters a one off event no prize will be given
The only exception to this formula is the TT league handicap where prizes will be awarded to the 1st 5 places
TIME TRIAL LEAGUE
Riders will count their best 8 rides from the 16 rounds
Points will be awarded each week as follows
Fastest rider on the night will score 1 point, 2nd 2 points, 3rd 3 points and so on all the way down the field
The rider with the lowest points score in each category at the end of the season will be the winner
In the event of 2 or more riders having the same points the result will be decided on the most number of wins when the riders met head to head or if they never met then the rider with the fastest time that season will win
To qualify for prizes riders must have marshalled at least once
The following categories will be contested
Senior road bike, senior mountain bike, junior road bike, junior mountain bike, ladies road bike, ladies mountain bike, veteran and handicap
Junior categories- under 16 at the start of the league
Veteran- over 40 at the start of the league, any bike can be used
Mountain bikes- tri-bars can be used, minimum tyre width 1.5 inches
Handicap- open to all entrants, prizes will be awarded to the top 5
Under 18’s must wear a hard shell helmet
MOUNTAIN BIKE CHAMPIONSHIP
Scores will be counted from riders best 4 events
Points will be awarded as follows
Regional events- 50 points for 1st place down to 1 point for 50th place and below
National events- 100 points for 1st place down to 1 point for 100th place and below
All riders will contest 1 trophy
1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded subject to enough riders competing
Fun events do not count
CYCLO CROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
Scores will be counted from riders best 6 events
This event will be based on results in the Lincs Cyclo cross league
Points for your position within the club e.g. 1st club rider home will score 1 point
The rider with the least points at the end of the season will win
Categories
Vets, seniors, ladies and juniors will contest one trophy
Youth and under 14 will contest one trophy
Under 12 will contest one trophy
Vet, junior, youth and under 12 ages are as British Cycling rules
In the event of 2 or more riders having the same points the result will be decided on the most number of wins when the riders met head to head
25 MILE TT CHAMPIONSHIP
This event will take place within the Boston Wheelers event on 7th June
The fastest rider in each category will be the winner
Categories
Vets and seniors will contest one trophy
Juniors will contest one trophy
The definition of junior for this event shall be as it is in the CTT rules
ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIP
Scores will be counted from riders best 5 events
This event will be based on results in the Lincs Road Race League
Points for your position within the club e.g. 1st club rider home will score 1 point
The rider with the least points at the end of the season will win
Categories
Vets, seniors, ladies and juniors will contest one trophy
BEST ALL ROUNDER
This event will be contested over 6 different events
1. Lincs League Road Race( Sleaford Wheelers event at Ashby de la Launde) 2. Lincs League Cyclo Cross (Sleaford Wheelers cross at RAF Cranwell) 3.Club Hill Climb Champs
4. Club 25 mile TT Champs (Boston Wheelers 7th June 5. Week 17 of the club TT league
Points will be awarded as the Cyclo Cross and Road Race Champs
Riders will count their best 4 results from the 5 events
HILL CLIMB CHAMPIONSHIP
Riders will race over 2 hills Tetford and Deadmans on a date to be fixed in September
The rider with the lowest aggregate time will win
Categories
Vets, seniors will contest one trophy
Juniors will contest one trophy
The definition of junior for this event will be under 16 on the day of the event
