CTT Entry Form here
From Dave Smith of Sleaford Wheelers:
“The next club event is the Sleaford-Skegness on 14 September so don't forget to pass your entries + £2.10 to Stu McKellar at least a week beforehand. As mentioned previously, friends and family are encouraged to accompany riders and spend a bit of time together in Skeggy after the event”
As some of our members are second-claim to Sleaford Wheelers this may be of interest.

Skegness Wheelers and Sleaford Wheelers are running their Time Trials on a Tuesday night. The Skegness Wheelers headquarters/sign on area is at Candlesby Village Hall and presently starts at 6.45pm. Sleaford Wheelers ‘7’ has just finished and are moving to the ‘10’ from the week commencing 14th April. The Skegness Wheelers course is slightly hilly and the Sleaford Course is reasonably flat. Both Clubs welcome Yello Velo members should anyone fancy a TT. Email me at stephen@lincsracephotos.co.uk if you need directions.
23rd March update from Steve Blackbourn:
The next Time Trial that club members should be considering is the LRRA 'MM' 25m TT on 20th April 2008. This is a 'Middle Markers' event which means riders that have not gone under the hour for a 25 but have been faster than 1 hour 4 minutes qualify for the main prizes, there is aslo a 'Long Markers' section for riders that have not gone under 1 hour 4 minutes. These times are for your last three seasons, I will be in the Long Markers as my quickest is 1 hour 5mins 10 secs in the last three years, everyone is welcome to race on the day. This is the first of two LRRA 25 events which count towards the 'Short Distance Award' which include a 10, 25, 30 and 50 mile Time Trial. All of the LRRA events are very well organised and attended and I would encourage Yello Velo members to ride as it gives a good focus for the racing year, each year my target is to improve on the last and the certificate that you get on completition gives your average mph time for all four events, which is the incentive for the coming year.
Entries to,
Mr J Nicholson. 34 Highfield Road. Saxilby. Lincoln. LN1 2QP.
LRRA 'MM' 25m TT 20-4-2008 £7.00 entry, two weeks prior please.
If anyone is interested there is a good local pub that does very good food at Saxilby after the event if you don't have to rush away !!

7th Feb ... Information, help and training for Yello Velo members wishing to ride the Boston Wheelers 2 up 25 mile TT on March 16th.
If any members interested would contact Steve Blackbourn we can get riders paired and offer help and training for riding a two-up Time Trial. The most important thing is to have riders of similar ability paired. There will be information available on Saturday night at our club Dinner.
Please email at steve.blackbourn@tiscali.co.uk.

Full details can be found on the CTT website, www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk and the contact details such as start times, where the Time Trial is held and organiser's address are in the CTT Handbook.
Use the TT's to your advantage, enter with a positive mind and don't feel that everyone has to be a 'PB', choose some events to be 'B' race and just pick a few 'A' race events throughout the year to peak at.
The LRRA series of events is a good target to aim for as it helps to give purpose to the racing year and Yello Velo is a club member. They have short and long distance certificates for riders that complete the distances, full details will be made available along with more events on a new Yello Velo club website page.”
