		Hi everybody, I'm pleased to announce that Graeme Obree (aka the Flying Scotsman) will be attending our presentation evening on Saturday February 9th and also joining the club run on the Sunday morning after. The presentation evening will be held at Kirton Holme Golf Club (not Boston West), directions to venue available if required. We will be served a hot roast meal followed by pudding. Exact format of the evening to be advised at a later date. The cost will be as follows: Adults £10.00 - Juniors free - Children (non members) £ 6.00 There is a limit of 70 for the venue and I'm sure we will be able to sell all the tickets so can you let me know if you are interested in attending by Monday 19th November. YV members only at this point please. When we know how many places we have left we can offer places to non members. Alan (07961 189399) PS. 'Alan visits Compo & Clegg country'.

Club member Alan Sharpe joined Phil Liggett, TV's voice of cycling, on Sunday 12th August for the 7th edition of his 'Phil & Friends ride'.

The classic 150km route, including 2600m of climbing, establishes the event as one of the UK's toughest rides.

The route takes in 'Last of the Summer Wine' picturesque scenery as well as many Peak District climbs including Holme Moss and Winnats Pass.

Alan's time for completion of the 94 miles was 8 hours 15 minutes, inclusive of resuscitation stops!
